ABOUT THE BERKSHIRE

Opened in October 2019, just months before the world shut down, The Berkshire was born from a shared dream between husband-and-wife team Chef Joel Lyons & Pastry Chef Julie Stulberg. Together, we set out to create a space that blends our passion for food, farming, and hospitality into an experience that feels like home.

The name "Berkshire" is a nod to the renowned Berkshire Pig - a premium breed known for exceptional quality. It reflects our commitment to sourcing and serving only the best. Joel's backround in butchery is also proudly represented in our logo, which highlights the traditional cuts of the pig.

We are a true farm-to-table restaurant, sourcing produce and meats from local farms throughout Bruce County. Each Summer, our own family farm supplies the restaurant with fresh flowers and a selection of vegetables, bringing a personal touch to every table and plate.

At The Berkshire, we make everything from scratch and offer a casual fine dining experience that's both refined and welcoming. This restaurant is more than just a business - it's our home. We are honoured to invite you in for dinner.

Warm Regards,

Joel & Julie
