ABOUT THE BERKSHIRE
After years of working in restaurants and Venues in Toronto, we have always pictured opening up our own restaurant one day in Joel's hometown of Port Elgin.
We finally did it and opened October 2019 right before the worldwide pandemic. We are still here and are excited to share our story. The Berkshire was a name we fell in love with as Joel (Owner/Chef) specialized in butchery and has always appreciated the premium cuts and proteins we can get from farms around Ontario to our tables. The Berkshire Pig is a representation of the premium quality meat we appreciate to serve. We work with local suppliers around the area to try and ensure we provide the best we can to our guests who join us. We will always create our dishes from scratch which takes extra time, but is worth every bite. We want to show our area what Ontario and Bruce County has to offer in regards to food & beverage.
That being said. We are excited to share with you our passion for food, beverage and hospitality with a menu inspired by seasonal ingredients from farms around the region to your table. We bring you a casual, fine dining atmosphere and we are all about keeping things as local as we can with some influences around the world. We look forward to inviting you into our home to enjoy our seasonal menu items.
